I have dealt with many Lawyers in this area & they all seem to operate differently, maybe because some have a vested interest in the agency or the building company.

If (and it’s only an if) that was the case then that would be illegal in the UK.

Contracts: Contracts so vary in price here, from £100 to £1,000, then in some cases they can turn out to be worthless. NEVER do a contract in an agents or builders office. You MUST go to a Lawyers Office & if required then have the contract Notarized.

We feel now that we have acquired an honest, diligent & professional Turkish Lawyer, this Lawyer is also a Notary Translator, therefore there is no language barrier for you to deal with. She is open about her charges & has given us her price list, of course, like everything in Turkey someone can do it cheaper but she does it right!

Price list:

Contract for purchasing a property £150

Consultation fee for 30 minutes £30

 Consultation fee for 1 hour £ 50

Document translation £ 30 (Depending on size of content)

Translation to obtain your Tapu £ 30

To give the Lawyer Power of Attorney £150 + Notary Fee

N.B. Some of these ‘tasks’ will also need to be Notarized, the Notary costs are not included in this price list. Notary prices vary according to each document.
